The Highlanders will unveil a new safety shoe program in 2018.
The Highlanders Rugby Union has announced that it will introduce the first-ever brand-new shoe for the team in 2018 after the Rugby League World Cup, with Burrough’s new “Hail To The King” safety shoes.
The first three Burrough safety shoes will be introduced for each player, with a second pair of safety shoes being made available for the players’ off-field duties.
Burroughs will be releasing three different types of Burrough safes and safety shoes for each side, and there will be a fourth pair available for use as a second-chance item.
The new safety shoes are designed to be worn during rugby league matches, but will be available as a third-chance items for use at home, too.
The company says the new safety footwear will be worn by both on-field and off-court players, and will provide a safer and more comfortable environment for players and coaches alike.
Buroughs will have a dedicated player-to-player safety officer in place for the new pair of Burrows, which will be able to advise the team on how to handle situations in the game and assist the players in the performance of their duties.
“This is an exciting new addition to our Rugby League family and the Highlander team will be excited to be supporting the players with these new Burrough products,” said Craig McKeown, Chief Executive Officer of Burrells Rugby Union.
“Burrough’s Hail To the King safety shoes bring an entirely new level of safety to the Highlands, and our rugby league fans are in for a truly exciting ride in 2018.”
Burrough also unveiled its “Hails To The Kings” brand-name safety shoe, which features a gold leather upper with a black lining, for the 2017-18 season.
The new “Kings” safety shoe features a unique design that combines the “Halls Of Kings” of Burries home jersey design with the “hails” of the “Kings”, with a “K”, to create a unique crest on the back of the shoe.
“Our team at Burrough is committed to supporting the Highland team and we look forward to providing a safe environment for the fans and players alike,” said Chris Burrough, General Manager of Burreth Rugby Club.
“We know the fans want to see the Highliers’ team go on and we know the players want to support the HighListers.”
Burrells’ Rugby League team currently has five players from each of the High limes sides, and is set to play its final home game of the season on Saturday.
The brand is also expected to release a pair of special Highlander safety boots for the 2018 season, with the shoes set to be available in 2018 for use on the pitch as well as in the team’s off-season.
