A few weeks ago, I posted about how you could buy a pair of shoes for under $40.
Today, I’m sharing how to make a pair for $40 or less using a simple and cheap way to create your own design.
If you don’t have a sewing machine, this tutorial can be used as a template.
Here’s how it goes: Cut out your desired size and cut out your pattern.
Then sew your pattern onto your size.
(You can also add the extra material to the top of the foot if you wish.)
Fold the foot in half and place the bottom of the top half over the other.
Then fold the top side over the bottom half and fold the bottom side over top.
This makes the shoe fold over the foot.
This will ensure the shoe has enough room for the elastic and then a bit more to fold over to the inside.
Once you’ve finished folding, put the bottom piece back together and sew on the other side.
This creates the arch and arch in the foot, creating the shape of your new rok.
This is a simple method, but if you’re using a sewing table, you can add some fancy stitching.
Fold the upper and bottom of your shoes into a little rectangle.
Put this into a box or bag and seal it shut.
This helps keep your design from getting wet.
If your shoes are smaller than the size you need, you might need to add some extra elastic or make the shoe smaller to keep it from getting damp.
Cut out the top piece and sew it on the inside of the shoe.
Now, you need to sew your fabric pattern onto the top part of your shoe.
This gives the foot a nice arch and provides some comfort.
Sew along the top edge of the leg and up the front of the shoes.
(If you’re trying to make an extra pair of sneakers, this might be a good time to make some extra stitching around the seams and bottom.)
Repeat for the other leg.
Repeat the process on both legs.
Repeat for both feet.
Cut off the excess fabric and seal the shoe shut.
Repeat this process on all the seams, along the back, and around the inside and outside of the upper.
This keeps your design clean and tidy.
Finally, sew the sole of the new roku in place.
(This will also keep the fabric from getting dried out.)
You’ll notice that you can sew a few extra rows of fabric if you add more material on top of your design.
This can be done in a pattern like this one, which is perfect for a dress.
You can also make a boot with a foot that’s just one seam along the side.
Just use the same technique as above to sew the foot onto the shoe, as long as you keep the elastic in place and don’t add any extra stitching.
You could make your shoes even longer or shorter if you want to add extra pockets or pockets in the upper of the boot, or if you prefer to have a shorter and narrower sole.
This pattern was originally created for a pair I was making for a friend.
It’s easy to customize the style of your feet by adding some custom stitching on the foot itself, or you can make a longer and narrower shoe for yourself.
