It’s no secret that Nike has been getting the best safety ratings for its shoes, which have been praised for the way they protect against falls and injuries, and the quality of the materials they’re made of.
But this week, the company has revealed that its footwear will also get the most safety ratings, as it’s not just safety-focused, but also about the quality.
The shoes will be rated as follows: “Rated for the impact they cause when they hit the ground, with at least one person killed by the impact,” Nike says in its statement.
“Not for the amount of impact, or how much they bounce off of people.
They will not get this rating because they don’t meet the standard of impact protection.
If they did, we would have given them an F.”
While the rating will be a major improvement from the average rating for Nike’s shoes, it is still not the highest level of safety.
Nike’s ratings for the other categories are also lower, and they have an average rating of “High for the quality, safety, and durability,” Nike says.
That means that even though it’s supposed to be an average product, there will still be “a small number of people” who die in its products, according to the company.
The statement continues, “For our employees, it means they get the best of both worlds: the best product and the best people.”
