Fox Sports has reported that the USO is set to be held in the spring.
A USO event has not been confirmed, but we have a feeling it will be on March 5.
There has been some speculation that the event will be held at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, which has been considered a likely site for the event.
Fox Sports reports that the first team to arrive at Fort Benning, North Dakota, will be the USN’s newest member, the U.S. Army’s 2nd Battalion, 82nd Airborne Division, who will also be playing in the event: The first USN soldier to join the 82nd Army will be assigned to Fort Benner.
Army 1st Lt.
Ryan C. Hester will serve as a second-in-command, with a leadership role for the battalion’s two battalion combat teams.
He will also lead the company’s training mission in the region and coordinate with battalion commanders and support units.
The battalion is expected to play its first game of the season on March 8 against the 1st Cavalry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, in Fort Bennington, N.C. The USN is expected bring the Army back to its traditional spring training routine in May, when the battalion will return to its base at Fort Stewart, Ga., for a three-day camp and training.
The Army is also expected to take part in other Army activities in the coming weeks, including a three day camp at Fort Irwin, Calif., on May 27.
